Help, big bug in VS!
« on: November 27, 2003, 05:54:14 pm »

Hey all, I am having a huge problem with Vagrant Story right now. I'm at snowfly forest, and each time I go to fight the Earth Dragon, the fmv loads up, but the dragon is not there, and when I go to fight, he's not in the area, and since it's a boss battle, I can't leave and come back.
Any ideas?

actually I am, however, I do own a playstation and the original vagrant story disc, so I am commiting no piracy. I simply use an emulator because I like being able to surf the net while playing good rps.

There's your problem, it's an emulation issue, not the game's... Smiley

A similar bug is found in Xenogears on CVGS (RIP!), when you fought Deus, the game would randomly drop into an infinite loop after a certain attack of his...

What kind of emulator do you use? Try going to official site of that emulator, chances are they have a message board, where you can ask compability questions.

Okay, man, relax.  Nobody's gonna report you to, like, the VGAA (or something), and if you're worried about people losing respect for you, keep in mind that a large portion of this board probably commits a good deal of piracy on a fairly regular basis.

-Surtur should note though, in case the RIAA stops by, that that was a joke.  We commit no piracy whatsoever and we're all really good samaritans.  Just the other day I helped a blind cat across the street, I did. Smiley

Cool, thanks for the help, the only thing is that I have fought the Earth Dragon on an emulator in a previous game, so it could be both.

Wooo
People still posting here for VS?? I haven't been here forever, stumbled upon it when I did a search for my nick on Google [it's quite unique ^^]...

As for the emulator deal, nothing you can really do about it if that's the problem, especially if the emulator uses a propriatary save file format.

And yes, I'm sure many of us could be accused of such piracy acts, but one might not admit it since one might be military...  afro
