I haven't even started coloring the pic of Fei. I finally went insane and finished it last night, cursing Zohar every time I goofed up on inking the pic.



Now, I'll be trying to break photoshop by working in res of 600 (again) and using 15-something layers. :B

I see you went insane by those little doodles on the sidelines, too. That kinda looks like what I did to my cityscape thumbnails for drawing class. I had all these totally insane notes scribbled all over. We have to fuse a cityscape along with inanimate objects drawn to scale and perspective with the buildings... I chose a view of Rainbow Bridge in Ochiba, Japan; and I have things like "Chopsticks of DOOM!" scribbled around the margin of the thumbnail itself. My professor's going to think I'm totally freaking insane when I turn in my portfolio...

The drawing looks awesome, though! I know you're this far along with it, but my only constructive criticism would be that on the right, Fei's hands look a bit small in comparison to his body. Other than that, it looks awesome. I like his face. He looks pissed in a calm kind of way, as opposed to Elly's "Let Me Fucking Die Already" expression... and what? Only fifteen layers? That's stingy, for me. XD

Keep it up! I'm looking forward to seeing this finished. Fei needs more love!

Why did you draw Id all over the picture? Because Id is cool. He wears what looks like black leather or vinyl and long red bishy-hair. There's also the evil smirk of doom. Oh, and let's not menion that he can mop the floor with your party if you're not careful... but hey, at least those little Id doodles are cute.

OH! OH OH OH! That reminds me! I found a reference somewhere in literature to the name "Id," besides the obvious abreviation of "identity." Apparently, "Id" also carries connotations of "primitive mind," or can mean something to that effect -- and considering what Id is, I think that almost kinda fits. Go me, I actually remembered. X)

Awesome work on the pics, though... and I want a Zohar plushie for bricking myself with when I'm being a total dork. I guess I'll have to settle for my literature textbook. Hey, it works. It's got some heft, man... all two thousand pages. *bricks self with it, keels over, and dies 'til she's dead*

That's looking really good so far, can't wait to see what you do with it.  And the doodles, btw, are hilarious.  The Zohar one had me cracking up for a good while.

I think you ought to do a completely Zohar-themed picture.  On the side, you could have one panel with him on the Eldridge, another of him in a nurse's uniform, and the last of him in his best Sunday dress, having a tea party with all his stuffed animals.  It would totally rule.

That reminds me! I found a reference somewhere in literature to the name "Id," besides the obvious abreviation of "identity." Actually, this has been known for a loooooong time.  It's a Freud reference.  As in, the Id, the Ego and the Superego.  There've been countless discussions on the subject here so feel free to have a look through the archives if you're interested (assuming those topics actually... still exist, that is, anyway. ).

-Surtur thinks the Zohar picture would rule even more if you could work a cockroach into it somehow.
