I don't know if I'd recommend the series to anyone, honestly... the locations are kind of neat but that's about all that I'd want to put it at.

But at  the least, you'll know what we're all complaining about.

i was pleasantly surprised by Episode I when watching Program X 2 years ago, it was just when the game ended without anything being resolved whatsoever that it felt kind of dumb.

the Anime makes up for this by simply not introducing any mysteries or plot twists whatsoever...

oh and i just watched Episode 8 and Virgil never even got into the Encephalon to meet Febronia, infact they cut out Febronia and her sisters completely. what the fuck are they doing with him? he does absolutely nothing. the scene on the Woglinde from the game where Virgil sacrifices his entire Realian squad was meant to show his "shining will" something that he seems to lack completely in the Anime. i don't think they're even gonna bother with the Testament thing in the Anime..

I kinda figured that the anime went off the deep end with Magical Girl Momo.

...not to mention the random Xenosaga 2 elements.

Oh hell, I'm still watching it just so I can have something to laugh at (or cry at?!)... currently watching 9 right now, just wondering what's going on (as usual!)

But by god, if they introduce Great Joe, I'm just going to cry.

i don't care anymore, it's pretty obvious what this aweful anime adaption is about by now; it's nothing but one big commercial to get people into buying Xenosaga Episode II..

Except it didn't work that well on me because I already planned on buying the game. *shrug*

I don't look at it that seriously. I just find it entertaining in a silly way. Oh well, I guess everyone else got too frustated with the anime. ^^;

Edit-- Should've clarified. Entertaining as in like, watching a train wreck. It's so bad but you can't just stop looking.

So summarize it.  Does it have snark factor?  Does it have entertainment potential because it's horrible?  Or is it just... bad?

I also forgot to mention that Virgil finally DIED in episode 9. He reappeared fairly fast in 10, heh.

Yeah, it can be horrible in some parts due to the animation and few parts being cut out such as the Catherdial(sp) ship and Song of Nephilim. They're pretty much hurrying it up to the confrontation with Albedo.

The really horrible parts: Magical Girl Momo and Shion's Queen's Kiss. They're both so horrifying to witness. (Then again, what wouldn't be scary about Bunnie being summoned out of nowhere, spinning around and lasering the hell out of the robots?!)

Episode 10's changes-- Miyuki is replaced with Togashi (I'm guessing they did this because they wanted to actually let people know that the Vector Personnel DID make it out instead of being "dead" like it was implied earlier on.) Jr briefly remembers Sakura asking him to look out for her mother and her sisters. (Apparently, this would cover Momo and ALL of 100-series, gah.)

Kos-Mos' animation has IMPROVED in episode 12 when she takes on E.S. Simeon. (Is this where their budget went?)

Things to note in Episode 12-- Hi Canaan. (No speaking line, he's just there.) Kos-Mos isn't the one who stays behind and deattaches proto merkbah, it's the Kirschawasser(sp?). ...and 12 is actually the last episode. Poo.

Man not that I'm into passing judgement but you just can't take out the Song of Nephilim.  Cathedral Ship I have issues with too but since it's just a huge dungeon with lots of scenes about Cherenkov - who is dead in the anime after like ep2 - I can deal.  But the Song?  No way!

Either way, once I heard what went down with Virgil/Cherenkov kind of swapping places, I was out faster than a fat kid in dodgeball.  For me the only advantage of the anime was that it cut the crap and things seemed more condense.  But even that was eradicated by the way that the scenes I liked that I saw just didn't have the same impact (shortened or not).  Ah well!

even worse was how they made him finally like Realiens and died saving MOMO when he should still consider Realiens worthless by the time he becomes Testament as seen in the game with the "Still spouting that self-rightous crap?" line and all.

Hrm... I intepreted that differently. He did save Momo but he was still yelling at her, all pissed off that she was even there much like with how he was yelling at Shion for what happened earlier. I was surprised that his death took that long... >.>

In any case, the only testament who has spoken is the red. Black and Blue don't speak... I think. It did a quick pan of the three testaments.

Ah well, it's all over now. I really wish I could've gotten to see what Cathederal ship was like.
