One Piece

i've been checking One Piece and seen the first 6 episodes, at first i thought it was just silly but then people were saying it was great so i wanted to watch more but just now while searching for the OST (does anyone have the OST?) i noticed it had over 200 episodes! which is almost twice the amount of Naruto...
is it worth watching all of that if i only consider the first 6 episodes to be merely OK entertainment?

I got to ep 100 something before getting lazy, I need to resume it. It's really pretty good, for a not serious anime. At least, I've found it remarkably entertaining.

I like it more than I like Naruto. Of course nowaday almost everybody starts to think that naruto isn't that good anymore (anime not manga). I started watching it a while back..after I started loving Naruto...but...now One piece is on my fav list...surpassing naruto...
It's a very entertaining anime...a bit on the funny/comedic side....if you like Naruto .....you'll probably like naruto....
Even though you only watched like 6 eps...it gets better and better in the later part...i consider the first 10 eps to be the least entertaining part.
I highly recommend it.

if you like Naruto .....you'll probably like naruto.... I agree wholeheartedly. If you're a fan of Naruto, I strongly encourage you to watch Naruto. -Surtur has never seen One Piece, and so has nothing to add to this discussion. Carry on. |

I dunno... I've heard the same thing from Naruto fans that I might like One Piece, but no. They show it on TV here (with a very good voice actor for Sanji), but still, the series don't really exite me. Then again, I'm not really into pirates, I'm a ninja person.  |

I really like One Piece. I, unfortunately, watch the show on Saturday mornings on FoxBox or whatever they call it now, but I like the manga much more. Sanji's American voice actor sucks. I'd love to see the show unedited....

i've seen 24 episodes now and it did get alot more entertaining. the only problem i have is with the main characters..
Luffy has that Pirate King ambition similair to Naruto's Hokage ambition which has it's charm but other than that he is too predictable. Zoro is ok but he has too many fights too often with wierd guys. i detest Nami and Usopp is just annoying. Sanji seems like a good candidate though.
i can imagine watching the first 100 episodes or so, though i wonder if this series makes any good progress with the characters (development?) and with the whole Grand Line/One Piece thing or is it just Luffy & co fighting every single pirate in the world?

for the people who watch One Piece: is the Lost Island arc important to the overall story? when does it end? i would like to skip it if possible because i'm bored to tears by it.
the series was good starting at Episode 11 with the battle against Kuro and his Black Cat pirate crew, then continued with the great Floating Restaurant/Sanji arc and Arlong/Nami arc. it was fun when Luffy got the price on his head and although Buggy's comeback episodes dragged i loved the Gold Roger hometown episodes and was totally pumped when they set sail for the Grand line... then starting at Episode 54 this horribly boring Disney-esque arc with the girl and her Dragon and the search for Lost Island just sunk my enjoyment of the series like a canonball. i'm at Episode 60 and i just want this arc to end..

Well, The arc isn't that long. its is from ep 54 to 61. that means you only have one eps to go....then its showtime....

bajunid, do you read the manga? was that Whale bit (ep 62/63) in the manga? i checked the manga very hastely in a store and noticed Volume 12 ended with episode 53 and volume 13 had the Baroque Works/Cactus Island bit happening at the end, but between that there was no Lost Island arc (which i suspected because that arc had filler boredom written all over it) instead it seemed to have another arc and i couldn't find the whale bit either...
but finally the anime is getting good again...

is episode 83 also a filler? almost nobody has it on DC which makes me suspect it's a bad episode....
