Revenge of the Sith!

Hey, I don't want to interupt this bitch fight but, I have a theory that I want to pass by you guys. But before that......

Disclaimer
Guardian did his best to read this stupidly large post. He got to the 4th page and his head exploded, so this "theory" if by any chance has been submitted and then shot down, Guardian will not accept any liability. Futhermore, by the same token, that if this "theory" has been widely accepted and it has been deemed that the person who had the brilliant forsight and intellect to come up with this "theory" to be made ruler of all known "stuff".  Guardian will accept ALL responsiblity. So there.

Ok, now, through out the whole SW series there has been talk about the "one wo brings BALANCE to the force" I.E. "The Chosen One" (or TCO)  It is wideley believed that Anakin is TCO in the first three episodes and then (i think  huh ) our attention is turned towards Luke, and so therefore Luke is TCO.  Here's my theory, I believe Anakin was ALWAYS TCO.  Here is my reasoning. TCO as I said before was the one who brings BALANCE to the force. What would balance be exactly? Because in Ep 1 the Jedi (who are in abundance) have all but obliterated the Sith (who are.....well.....all but obliterated)....that doesn't seem terribly balanced to me. Anakin did as he was destined to do, sweep away every last trace those who used the force (for the most part) so there would be balance.  It was him, and not Luke, who killed the Emporer in ROTJ, and although Luke and Leia were left, well....there are still 3 more Episodes to clear that up.

So what do think?  please don't hesitate to bask in my brilliance, please, you are welcome to worship me.....thank you, thank you Cheesy

P.S.

i love TESB but i never thought is was as dark as people give it credit for.

Hold on a minute, Luke almost gets eaten in the first 15 mins, C3PO gets blown to pieces, Luke and Solo are left out in a blizzard where Solo resorts to putting Luke IN a just dead corpse just to keep him alive, everyone is tortured, the rebel base gets pumelled while killing lots of lukes and chums's friends, Solo gets Frosen in Carbonite and transported into the clutches of Jabba the Hut, who BTW is out to kill him and(The Big One) LUKE GETS HIS HAND CUT OFF AFTER SURVIVING A TERRIBLE ONSLAUGHT WITH VADER ONLY TO FIND OUT HE IS HIS FATHER AND THEN (seemingly) TRIES TO COMMIT SUICIDE!!  What ISN'T fucked up about that exactly? How many times has that happened to you?

ZING!  Tongue

Um... well, yeah.  Of course Anakin is the chosen one.  We're never meant to think Luke is.  Luke just helps Anakin complete his destiny.

I'll try to summarize everything I've said before really quickly.  The Jedi themselves were the balance.  There isn't supposed to be a balance between the number of Jedi and Sith - Lucas himself has stated that the Sith are basically a cancer of the Force that need to be eliminated.  So, the Jedi are supposed to be balanced between good and evil, but they've lost their way (which is partially their own fault, partially the fault of the Sith, who "cloud everything" with the Dark Side).  Anakin is supposed to help them find it, but they make poor use of him, and so ultimately, they get wiped out - leaving the slate clean for new Jedi to take their place.  Unfortunately, this also results in 20 years of Sith rule, but it's a necessary evil.  Luke comes along, proves that he is a real Jedi (he stops just short of killing an unarmed Vader, even though it likely means his death), and Vader realizes it's time to complete his destiny and eliminate the Sith, so that Luke (a proper Jedi - one who is following the path the Jedi are supposed to follow) can begin a new Jedi Order (or revive the old one, at any rate).  In this way, Anakin brings balance to the Force.

Now before anyone complains about me posting in this thread when I said I wouldn't anymore - I just meant that I wouldn't post anymore about whether or not ROTS - or any SW movie - is a good movie.  And I won't.  No one's dragging me into that shit again.

-Surtur now believes that Palpatine was responsible for Anakin's birth, but that's a theory for another day.

you should have started reading it on the 4th page since the first 3 are hardly involving. but at least by stopping at the end of the 4th page you went out with Metacod's better argument.
