As you can see, I am still working on the site. I might even have a theme done this weekend! Any features you guys are looking for?

Ooooooh.  I'm liking the new theme.  Only thing I'm not crazy about is the logo (no offense )... though I can't offer any suggestions for improvement either, so I should probably keep my mouth shut.

As for features... I'd love it if you could eventually have a list of the most recent posts on the main page (like we did on the old boards).  And I actually found the recent gaming news links really useful/interesting too, so I'd love to see those back.  And the NHL info, before hockey comes back.
...but I suspect you're probably already working on those anyway, lol.

I'd also like some better smileys, as I think some of these are really ugly (mainly the and smileys. the eyes are freaking me out).

Also, if there's maybe some way to include friend codes for DS games, or links to 360 gamer tags, or other things of that sort in user profiles, that could be pretty sweet.  I don't know.  Just throwing things out there.

But that's all I can think of/remember right now.

At the bottom of the page, it has a page creation time.  What are you guys getting?

I've found it to be faster for me than the previous site.  Of course, it hasn't been moved to the new location yet.

Edit:  Currently I'm getting anywhere from 0.07 seconds to about 0.1 seconds to create the page, FYI

Page created in 0.105 seconds with 15 queries. (...also main page)
Page created in 0.073 seconds with 16 queries. (The rest are topics pages and replying, etc)
Page created in 0.168 seconds with 21 queries.
Page created in 0.066 seconds with 16 queries.
Page created in 0.101 seconds with 23 queries.
Page created in 0.074 seconds with 17 queries.

My standard deviation is a little screwed here.  :/  I seem to get lag spikes every now and then.

I'm noticing IE lags a good bit more than Firefox, for whatever reason.

Does anyone else get spikes in lag?  It's super snappy for me both at home and at work

Edit: When I say IE lags, the page creation time is still fast, it's just rendering it is slower for some reason.  It like pauses on a black screen for a bit and then draws everything.  In Firefox, it just pops up fully rendered (and maybe adjusts it a bit).

From home I'm consistently under .2 seconds on the main page.

This is measuring your server's speed, not anything on my end, correct?

Correct - just how long it takes to generate the page.  The rest of the speed is affected by your browser, your connection, your cache of images, etc.

0.075 seconds... its consistently under 0.1, on the main page... not sure if thats faster or slower than before, either way its fast enough, seeing as how Firefox times it around 3 seconds anyway.  Everything else is less than 0.3.

On the old boards, the time was around 0.5-0.7 seconds per page, FYI
