Lea Monde.Net - Where No One Blogs
« on: September 24, 2006, 11:12:14 pm »

Well, probably.  But I've added blogging facilities.  You should be able to click on Blog Manager on the left and add your own blog.  It's much better than the previous attempt at a blogging solution.

So, if you're so inclined, give it a whirl, and let me know how you like.

If you want a quick, easy to remember link to the list of blogs, use http://LeaMonde.Net/blog

I find your lack of rhythm disturbing.

Nice.  I don't know if I'll ever use it, but it's good to see LMN come closer and closer to incorporating everything on the web into a single page.  Well, everything awesome, anyway.  And blogs.

Soon you will be able to sell it for millions!

One suggestion - I think you should move the Blog menu maybe to the right side of the page, under the Recent Posts menu, and then maybe move the Stats menu over to the left.  So the right side will be all new post/rss feed updates, and the left side will be... everything else.  Or you can keep it the way it is now, I guess it doesn't really matter.

-Surtur thinks your next goal should be to create an LMN search engine to compete with Google.  Just imagine somebody being all like: "I've never heard of that interesting topic of which you speak - where can I find more information on it?" To which his friend replies: "Why, just Leamonde it!"

I made a little deal for only recent blogs, moved it to the right.  Kept the blog admin stuff on the left (near site navigation), and move the stats over to the left as well.

I don't mind when my food smiles at me.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I have a question:

is there an option to make the blog visible to a.)everyone or b.)board members only?

Yes, actually, the blogs can be read by not just members, but only specific groups.   I have it setup so guests can read, but can't write or post comments.  Members can read blogs,  post comments, and create new blogs.
