I'm still not all that interested in FF13, honestly, I feel pretty indifferent about it. My only real interest remains the graphics, which continue to look like they are going to be out of this freaking world. So this really seems more like a game I'd like to watch someone else play, than play myself. Everything I've heard about the story sounds cliche and not at all intriguing (though to be fair, I haven't heard very much yet).
The gameplay may yet turn out to be really good. I heard somewhere that they were trying to make a battle system where you'd be able to pull off the kind of crazy moves we saw in FF7: AC, which sounds awesome... but then, not very RPGish. Sounds like something that would work better in a God of War/Devil May Cry kind of game.
The game I'm most interested in from Square is probably Kingdom Hearts 3, about which nothing has really been revealed. But I think Square would be totally fucking bonkers to not release that one multiplatform - the series sells crazy well in the west, so I imagine they'd want it on a system that's actually really popular here (ie. the 360. Or the Wii! Now
that would rule).
The game I reeeeaaallly wanna see go multiplatform is MGS4, though, goddammit. Though not being able to play Portable Ops has kind of taught me that I can wait for the price to go down on a PS3, if I absolutely have to. I guess I don't
have to have MGS4 right away.
But I want it.I've sorta gotten burned out from Final Fantasy ever since FF11 which was just HORRIBLE.
Well, FF11 being a MMORPG, it's barely even worth thinking of it as a FF game. It really shouldn't burn you out on the
whole series, lol.
Also, we really ought to do a final FF12 thread already. There's a lot to discuss there that hasn't been, yet - especially what with most of us having beaten it already. I'll try not to be lazy and start one soon.
