Bibleman: A Fight for Faith

Is this... is this real
?  This is like the kind of shit you'd see on The Simpsons.  A bad episode of The Simpsons, not even a funny one.

And is it just me or does Wacky Protester not really look like a guy who does much protesting?  He seems more like the kind of guy who lives in his parents' basement and plays WoW all day.
...
Maybe he's protesting the changes in the latest patch.

However, I completely agree that if God had to choose a weapon for his minions to wield, it would indeed be a lightsaber.

In conclusion, TC needs to go work for this company.

Clearly made by
these guys
.

Also, outside of calling him "Bibleman", I don't see how he's biblical at all.  And Cipher??  He's so... cryptic.

Apparently a world without faith is kinda like a shitty 3d maze.  If Jesus hadn't died for your sins, you would be stuck in a hedge maze right now.  Think about it.

ROFL.  That is some quality advertising.  Gotta fix those sagging textures!
Everyone seems to pick on the "tighten up the graphics" line, but I think the "hey guys, finished testing that game yet?  I've got another one I need designed!" bit is just as great, if not better.  I just picture the boss sitting in her office with like a game pitch printed out, lying on her desk.  And she's just sort of grinning to herself, twiddling her thumbs and thinking "man, I can't wait until we can design this.  Maybe today's the day!"

I need to go work for that college's marketing department.  I have an awesome idea for a sequel commercial.  It starts off with the boss walking in on those two again, and she's like "aren't you done with that game yet?"  And one of them is kneeling by the TV, slowly twisting a knob on the side of the screen and going "just... gotta finish... tightening up these graphics..."  Meanwhile the image on the TV screen changes from squiggly lines to Pac-Man to Gears of War.  The other guy shouts "There!"  The first guy goes "sweet!  All done!" He walks over to a VCR that's sitting near the TV, and presses the eject button.  A floppy disk pops out.  He takes it and hands it to his boss.  "There you go."  They smile at each other and the boss goes "alright! Then let's get to work designing our next exciting video game!"

I actually think it's hilarious that the people making the commercial are trying to portray game production like game playing.

I'd love to see their film school advertisement.  I imagine it has some fat dude on a couch eating popcorn while watching a DVD, when a movie exec pops in saying "Hey, aren't you done with that movie yet? I've got another one I need made!"

Obviously the response would have to be "Just need to finishing tightening up the acting in scene 3."

Of course, they don't do this because everyone knows that's not how movies are made. However, it's also apparent that most people think that video games are made by playing video games all day long, and that there's no real work (or sacrifice) involved.

That said, I honestly can't imagine that Bibleman took that much work.  That's got to be a 3 person team or something,it's soooo basic and the art is so crude (saying nothing of what little terrible game design they have).
