Kostjan's Cool One Month Old Link of the Day
« on: October 26, 2008, 05:52:41 pm »

I bet you guys missed my "links of the" day, eh? yeah? yeah!! ...

...

... anybody? Sad

Oh well... Since I felt like talking to myself today, I decided to post up a link to a cool Wii / Youtube ad I came across a month ago (and for some randod reason thought about today).. I'm sure you've all seen it, but if not, here we go:

http://uk.youtube.com/experiencewii

Just make sure your IE is not set to display JS errors though.. hehe Smiley

.. and now for a classic Kostjan Post Signoff:

- Kost contemplates the fact that it's been over a year that nobody posted in Gaming Forum.. Wink

Well, we're all grown and grumpy now (not like we weren't grumpy before)... Interests shifted, evolved.. Bragging about how much anime storylines you know by heart or how many RPGs you've played in the past month is no longer cool in this new brave world. Instead, in true consumer-whore style, it all became about having a faster and more expensive car than thy colleagues, classier condo or bigger house than your friends, and generally bigger virtual... er.. endowment than everybody within a radius of a 100 megaton nuke fallout zone. Sad, yet true...

So yeah.. Maybe all we need is some new themed forum here... Maybe wine impressions? Or photography? hehe... I dunno. OR maybe I should come ehre every day, and post a random link and hope somebody will enjoy it... Heh.

Oh, and we (we = Deus Kostjanus Rexus Maximus... unless Gau wants to join along) miss you too, Kat! Wink

Ura~!

Well, random links never failed to amuse the internet. And we could always discuss Shakespeare or Tod Browning in attempt to seem so mature and sophisticated. (Wine appreciation or photography aren't actually such bad topics either! )

Oh wow, that was pretty awesome, haven't seen that before.  Been wanting to play Wario Land for awhile too, actually.  Just too much other stuff keeping me busy.  Things like Chrono Trigger DS tomorrow!! (technically it came out today, but I got home too late to pick it up, glarrgghhhghgh) I am incapable of waiting.

It is.  I picked it up, and am thoroughly enjoying it.  CT is definitely my favorite game ever.  I must have played through it about 10-15 times now, and I'm still not tired of it.
The new touch screen controls are fine, but too slow to really be practical.  Much easier to just press the a button and use the d-pad most of the time.
But having a map and the menu accessible on the bottom screen all the time is nice.  Not necessary, but convenient. Tongue
New translation is good, though occasionally too serious/lacking in the original's charm.  Tata, the kid who steals the hero badge, for example, talks like a 30 year old or something.
Haven't gotten to any of the new content yet (except the battle arena, which is pointless), but I'm looking forward to it.  Apparently they got Masato Kato back to write for the new dungeons, and I've heard one of them contains "shocking revelations"!!! that will probably suck. Though I would be pretty happy if those shocking revelations included a hint at a new Chrono game... but I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Mmm... CT still holds a nice warm spot in my heart... But replayng CT 15 times does sound abusive, Mr Thou... Although I did (for some obscure coincidence) think about Chrono Cross few days ago (really out of blue)... Not that it's nowhere even remotely as good as CT... Sad

Honestly, CT, FF4, and Vagrant Story are among the very very few games I've played more than once all the way through, with CT and Vagrant Story having the most number of replays (I know VS was around 8 times... CT might have been a bit more, because of all the endings)

Hm, I'm not sure that I will play it, unless there are some shocking revelations and/or hints at a new game... But I am glad that it is getting some coverage again.

Yeah, to be fair, a number of those CT playthroughs were shorter than the others because I was trying to get every ending. Tongue  But I've probably played through it from beginning to end about 4 times now.  Which is... still kind of a lot.
