What, it's only been two years.  Stop looking at me like that.

Updates are as follows:
1. The general and submission FAQs have been rewritten.
2. Shitan's profile has been rewritten.

Upcoming, unless I stop caring:
3. Ramsus rewrite
4. Jesse rewrite
5. Billy rewrite
6. Zephyr rewrite
7. Elements/Solarian characters rewrite
8. Solarian social structure rewrite... maybe

All of these are what I've translated myself over the last several years to satisfy my curiosity.  If I still feel motivated afterward, I might use that translation int gave me and actually write the Episode I article, which somehow never ended up written.  If I feel motivated after that, we'll see.

I'll probably announce these on the site in batches.  Hell if I'm going to make official updates two days in a row.

We finally got a PS3, so I bought Xenogears and started replaying it.  That's probably why I feel motivated.  Is it just me, or is Shitan a total dick in disguise?  I mean, that's awesome, but still.

Can I buy this as digital downloads, or do I have to scan the images individually?  There is so much here.  Is it possible to buy a Myaru signed piece Xenogears Disc 1?  I loaned it out some years ago, and it was destroyed.  I would love to play it again, I can access the playstation original with the japanese code mod.  Something tells me what I want will be forever out of my reach until I command that it happens.

Sorry about that, I was 'trippin balls' as the kids say.  Something triggered a memory in my brain from a decade ago, and I remembered that this existed on the internet.  Went down the rabbit hole, and that is what came out  via text message lol.  I didn't want to just view and not say anything haha, but it's hard to remember...

What's the secret to staying so dedicated?  I got into the account 'cause I climbed the tower of babel, owned a city ('n shit!), and made it mine.  So the password and name were the same, since no one wanted to identity theftorize it.

Who spins the tale better?  The Air Conditioning, the man who has to press the buttons, or the lady that draws the scenic landscapes.  I can't even get a marriage past a couple years...

So, since Myaru has started updating again I thought I'd ask about two things that you might want to clarify, edit, or remove, depending on what your current stance on them is.

First, 'Ahuras' in the reference section:

[Name of the People of Solaris (only in Japanese version).]
Ahuras were angels in Aryan lore, and in Hindu lore they fell to evil and went to war against the gods, much as the fallen angels did in Christian lore. In the game (or the Japanese version, so I've been told), this is the term used for the people of Solaris. Ideally they are the people of God, but in reality, they have become tainted.

I had a translator take a look at the original Japanese line where Elly refer to the Solarian's as "Shephards -Abel-" and this is what she said:

I don't know where Guardian Angels got "Ahuras", but according to Japanese sites, the word アバル (pronounced "Abal") used for describing the Solarians has the meaning of "followers of Abel", or "the Abel-ites", who are, of course, the Shepherds.

I don't think the description "-Abel-" is a mistake. It's just how they decided to translate it. Remember, it's not an exact science.

I assumed you were referring to the term -Abel- here, which appears to be more or less the same in Japanese.

Second, I came across this archived conversation that surprised me:

    I think this video was supposed to be on disc one, but space constraints dummied it and they stuck it on disc two. In retrospect, I think Xenogears was a victim of severe budget cuts, or else it very well might have been three or maybe even four discs long.

    It was - one of the designers sid that Square basically got tired of waiting and cut their time and budget... so half of what would have been disc two was left out.

Did you actually read this somewhere with a reliable source or was it hearsay? What designer was it that said this? I ask this because the "budget cut" rumor has no factual basis anywhere and Takahashi makes apologies in PW for the rushed parts and also indirectly stated in a Xenoblade interview recently that he pretty much got exhausted and gave up in the development of both Xenogears and Xenosaga while Xenoblade was the first game he actually completed through to the end thanks to Nintendo's philosophy and them pushing him on.
